This is a serious blow to the foundations of the state and its functioning. Our state must maintain public order and peace, protect all citizens and their property, state institutions, political and all other organisations that make up the social space in which we all live, the Prime Minister stated.
He emphasised that state institutions will actively work to find and punish the organisers and perpetrators, in order to prevent further escalation of the completely unjustified atmosphere of chaos and instability that is being created in the Republic of Serbia.
Macut stressed that coordinated ultra-leftist vandalism poses a clear threat to the stability of the social and state order, as well as to the exercise of democratic rights of all citizens.
The Prime Minister appealed on all actors involved in the organisation and execution of such riots to refrain from further public promotion of them, especially highlighting intellectuals, artists, public figures and politicians who actively support such anti-state gatherings.
We must not and will not allow anyone, neither domestic nor foreign vandals and extremists, to destroy state property and endanger the peace and security of citizens, which has only one goal, and that is the destruction of the legal order in the Republic of Serbia, the Prime Minister said.
