While touring Hotel Termal, where reconstruction and the upgrading of tourist facilities are currently under way, Macut emphasised that Mataruška Banja serves as a prime example of how a long-neglected location can be revitalised, attract visitors and create new jobs.
He noted that the results already indicate a return of visitors, with over 48,000 overnight stays recorded in the first nine months of this year.
The Prime Minister stated that completing the renovation of Hotel Termal and restoring Mataruška Banja to the ranks of Serbia’s major health and tourism centres is crucial, noting that these investments contribute to the development of the entire Kraljevo region.
He also highlighted the importance of the Special Hospital located in the spa town, as well as the renovated Old Bathhouse, featuring thermal water tubs, which he also visited.
Macut discussed the further development of this spa town and the improvement of services with Mayor of Kraljevo Predrag Terzić, PhD, Head of the Raška Administrative District Stefan Adžić and Hotel Termal owner Dejan Antonijević.
