Popović expressed satisfaction with the resumption of the work of the Intergovernmental Commission, after a six-year break.
The session analysed the current state of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on the possibilities for its further improvement in areas of common interest.
Issues of cooperation in the areas of trade, economy and investment, agriculture, forestry and water management, industry, as well as construction, transport and infrastructure were discussed.
The participants in the sessions also discussed cooperation in the fields of environmental protection, science, technological development and innovation, education, healthcare, tourism, culture, sports, geology, as well as cooperation between chambers of commerce and other business institutions of the two countries.
The Belarusian delegation was led by Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade and the Chairman of the Belarusian part of the Commission Artur Karpovich.
