Loncar explained that this project, which aims to strengthen the capacities of local self-governments and introduce a citizen oriented model of public administration, has been realised through the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR) and the Permanent Conference of Cities and Municipalities.
Experts from Denmark helped in the realisation of this service by training the employees, said the Minister, and added that the German government will join the new projects with donations, and one of these new projects is the improvement of the water supply in this part of Serbia.
Loncar said that representatives of local self-government in the city have informed him that they have prepared several projects with which they want to compete for international donations, and added that the government will support them.
The project also included computerisation of services offered by local communities.
The municipal centre has 13 counters where all municipal administrations are represented and citizens can receive fast and efficient service and information.
Loncar also visited Sid today, whose municipality president Mita Avramov he handed over a decision on allocation of funds collected from games of chance.
The Sid municipality received 3,600,000 dinars for realisation of the equipping and linking of computer networks in the municipal administration, as well for computerisation of the local offices, Loncar said.
According to Loncar, 70 municipalities will get funds from games of chance in the second cycle of distribution of funds.
