Jocic and Polt visit special anti-terrorist unit

Serbian Minister of Interior Dragan Jocic and US Ambassador to Belgrade Michael Polt visited today a special anti-terrorist unit of the Serbian Ministry of Interior and handed it over a command vehicle, which is a donation of the USA.
Jocic pointed to the importance of good and partnership cooperation with the US Embassy in Belgrade. He explained that this donation will contribute to the development of the unit's capacity for high risk interventions.
He thanked the US for the assistance it offers to Serbia, especially through the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP), as part of which a number of training programmes have been carried out in the past two years and several donations of specialised equipment delivered.
Members of the special anti-terrorist unit performed a demonstration exercise and thus showed a high level of professionalism and training for tackling the most difficult situations, such as liberation of hostages etc.
