First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali announced today, at a session of the Socio-Economic Council, that the minimum wage in Serbia is envisaged to rise in two phases – in October this year and again in January 2026 – with the goal being for the minimum wage to reach €651 in 2028.

At the proposal of the government, the council adopted a Conclusion on initiating negotiations between social partners on increasing the minimum wage, and a decision was made to form a working group for negotiations on the minimum wage, which will include representatives of the government, representative trade unions and employers’ associations.
