Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Snežana Paunović met today with Minister of the Interior of Greece Theodoros Livanios to discuss local self-government, the digitalisation of public administration and infrastructure issues of importance to the citizens of both countries.

Paunović highlighted the importance of implementing good practices in the digitalisation process.
In that context, she expressed interest in Greece’s experience, with Minister Livanios noting that the country has seen significant success in digital transformation of public administration over the past six years.
Livanios expressed support for the initiative to enhance cooperation between local self-government units in Serbia and Greece, particularly in the area of town and municipality twinning.
He also informed his interlocutors of the plans to renovate the Evzonoi border crossing, which is one of the busiest points of entry for Serbian citizens travelling to Greece, especially during the summer, when large numbers visit this friendly country.
