Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić met today with Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Taras Kachka to discuss a range of issues of importance to relations between the two countries, with a review of current global topics.

Serbia committed to strengthening cooperation with Ukraine

Đurić emphasised that Serbia attaches importance to bilateral relations with Ukraine, while underscoring its commitment to strengthening ties in various areas of mutual interest.
He positively assessed the regular political dialogue between the two countries at the highest level, pointing out that the reopening of the Embassy of Serbia in Kyiv has further contributed to strengthening relations.
The head of Serbian diplomacy conveyed gratitude to his interlocutor for Ukraine’s principled position regarding Kosovo and Metohija.
Đurić and Kachka also exchanged views on the European path of Serbia and Ukraine, with the head of Serbian diplomacy emphasising that membership in the European Union is one of Serbia’s main foreign policy goals.
In his assessment, the EU, together with the Western Balkans, Moldova and Ukraine, will undoubtedly become stronger and more stable.
