Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Professor Dragan Glamočić, PhD, saw off last night one of the first planes that shipped live lambs from Serbia to Algeria, officially starting exports to this important North African market.
As part of the first major delivery, a total of 10 flights will be carried out, and around 4,200 live lambs from domestic farms will be transported to Algeria.
On that occasion, Glamočić emphasised that this deal is a great success for Serbian livestock farming, but also proof that Serbia has the capacity to implement complex export operations, which require full coordination of multiple institutions and services.
