Preventive health care centre opens in Pancevo

Serbian Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljevic opened today a preventive health care centre within the Pancevo health centre in a move to reduce illnesses that are the most common cause of death in Serbia.
He said that heart disease, diabetes and breast cancer, cancer of large intestine and cervix are causes of death in 80% of cases in Serbia. If revealed on time, these diseases can be treated and cured, he explained.
The aim of these centres is to reveal diseases at early stage, Milosavljevic said and recalled that 25 such centres are being opened across Serbia.
