Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Professor Dragan Glamočić, PhD, met today with President of the Board of the Foreign Investors Council (FIC) Ronald Seeliger to discuss strengthening mutual cooperation and improving the business environment in Serbia’s agricultural and food sector.

Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of investment in the processing industry, as well as in the pig farming and beef cattle finishing sectors, which hold great potential for growth and access to new markets.
Glamočić, stressing that the Ministry maintains ongoing communication with all relevant organisations, expressed readiness for open dialogue, resolution of all challenges and building an atmosphere of trust and predictability.
It was agreed that joint efforts are needed to harmonise regulations, speed up administrative procedures and ensure effective implementation of new legislation, while taking into account the interests of citizens, domestic producers and foreign investors.
