Sofronijević said that a large number of capital infrastructure projects are being implemented as part of the Ministry she heads, mostly in the field of road and railway infrastructure, adding that the realisation of these projects will contribute significantly to Serbia’s further economic development.
According to her, since the great tragedy at the Novi Sad railway station from 1 November last year, there have been various types of hinderances that slow down the implementation of certain projects, and which consequently led to a slowdown in the country’s economic growth.
When it comes to the construction sector, the Minister recalled that changes to the Law on planning and construction created possibilities for the planning and implementation of sustainable, green projects.
Sofronijević underlined that in accordance with the changes to this law, all facilities in Serbia will have to be designed in BIM technology starting from 2028.
Our emphasis is on projects or contracts that are already being carried out, but we are also planning new projects because Serbia continues to develop its public infrastructure, the Minister stated.
The meeting also looked at trends in the real estate sector, as well as the issue of legalisation of facilities.
