The foreign trade gap widened 63.9 percent against the first four months of 2003, to $2.29 billion.
Intermediate goods accounted for 63.6 percent of total exports, or $666.5 million, consumer goods for 23.9 percent, or $250.4 million, and equipment for 12.5 percent, or $130.4 million.
Intermediate goods made up 52.3 percent of total imports, or $1.75 billion, followed by consumer goods, 26.3 percent, or $880 million, and equipment, 21.4 percent, or $714 million.
The bulk of exports, $161.4 million, went to Bosnia-Herzegovina. Italy imported $126.9 million in Serbian goods, while Macedonia’s imports stood at $115.5 million.
The majority of Serbia's imports, $456.3 million, came from Russia. Germany exported $434.4 million worth of goods to Serbia, while Italy came in third with exports of $299.9 million.
