Đedović Handanović expressed gratitude to Germany for its consistent support for Serbia in the modernisation of the energy sector.
Serbia and Germany have a constructive and intensive dialogue that is yielding concrete results, she pointed out and announced that in the coming period, deepening cooperation through new projects is planned.
The Minister highlighted the successful cooperation with KfW in the construction of new biomass heating plants and the introduction of renewable energy sources in district heating systems.
Konrad recalled that over the past 25 years, Germany has allocated around €5 billion in support to the energy sector in Serbia through development cooperation.
We are pleased that Serbia is committed to the goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050. We are ready to support your plans in the decarbonisation process and we want to further improve cooperation, as well as jointly identify new projects, the Ambassador said.
Müller pointed out KfW’s interest in including it in the programme to support the improvement of energy efficiency in residential buildings in Serbia, and there is also a commitment of this bank to support Serbia in the development and integration of hydrogen technologies.
