Stojkovic attends observation of 64th anniversary of Kozara battle

Serbian Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic visited Mrakovica yesterday to attend an observation of the 64th anniversary from the battle on Mt Kozara, where victims of the fascist regime from World War II were paid homage.

The observation ceremony was organised by the Federation of Associations of Veterans of the National Liberation War (SUBNOR) of Republika Srpska, under the auspices of the Republika Srpska government. Apart from Minister Stojkovic and Republika Srpska Prime Minister Milorad Dodik, representatives of SUBNOR Serbia were also present.
The great offensive on Mount Kozara began on June 10, 1942, and lasted twenty days. The scarce partisan units and around 80,000 people fleeing from their homes were attacked by 40,000 German, Italian and Ustase soldiers.
