Privatisation of socially-owned companies to be completed next year

Serbian Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo said today that the privatisation of socially-owned companies will be completed next year, as envisaged by law.

Speaking at an entrepreneurship fair called "Big Workshop of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises" held at Novi Sad fairgrounds, Bubalo said that some state-owned companies will be privatised soon, while others will not.
He said that €100 million will be set aside this year for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and announced the establishment of a national fund of initial capital, whose aim will be to encourage the opening of new enterprises.
Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Zoran Loncar, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Policy Slobodan Lalovic, Director of the Serbian Business Registers Agency Dragisa Okolisanov, and Director of the Agency for Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Entrepreneurship Mirjana Jovanovic also spoke at the fair.
