On the second day of the conference, presentations were held by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the Spa Association, the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency, as well as the Serbian Tourist Organisation.
State Secretary at the Ministry for Diaspora Aleksandar Cotric said that it is necessary that an article regulating state's obligation to take care of the diaspora should be included in the new constitution.
Participants in the conference discussed the relationship between the diaspora and the mother country, improvement of the existing forms of cooperation, legislation regulating the position of the diaspora, as well as lobbying, the media and Serbian brands.
Participants in the meeting agreed that it is necessary that the Serbian state make a planned programme of cooperation between the diaspora and the mother country, and work on that programme with continuity and over a long period of time at all levels, with the aim of preserving cultural and lingual identity of Serbs in the diaspora and helping them keep in touch with their mother country.
