Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić met today with Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Serbia Anke Konrad to discuss police cooperation between the two countries.
Dačić noted that cooperation between the relevant services of the two countries is intensive and takes place through information exchange and joint activities in the areas of combating irregular migration, organised crime, human trafficking, terrorism and financial crime.
He expressed particular gratitude for Germany’s continuous support over the years, through donations of vehicles and equipment to the border police, which has significantly enhanced Serbia’s capacity for border control and the suppression of irregular migration.
Konrad emphasised that improving police cooperation between the two countries is one of the priorities, expressing gratitude to Serbia’s Ministry of the Interior for all efforts and results achieved in the fight against irregular migration and human trafficking.
