At the fifth seminar dedicated to SAA, Majstorovic explained that we would be much worse-off if the negotiations had been suspended and recalled that the decision to call off the negotiations was made by the European Commission, while EU member states are the ones that decide on the suspension.
Majstorovic voiced hope that political preconditions for continuation of negotiations with the EU will soon be fulfilled, adding that the Serbian government is fully committed to wrapping up cooperation with the Hague.
He said that the process of European integration may be stopped, but the process of "Serbia's internal transformation must not be halted", which includes first and foremost the modernisation, institutions building and preparation for the use of EU's structural funds.
The fifth workshop of training for negotiations and implementation of SAA was organised by the EU Integration Office, in cooperation with the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, INVENT Agency and the Institute for European Politics from Berlin.
