Draft laws on foreign investment and industrial parks presented at seminar in Zrenjanin

Serbian Assistant Minister of International Economic Relations Velimir Gavrilovic presented today in Zrenjanin draft laws on foreign investment and industrial and technological parks at a seminar dealing with improvement of investment infrastructure.
Gavrilovic laid emphasis on practical application of these laws and the role of local self-government in their implementation, possibilities given to local authorities for encouraging investment in their territory, as well as the importance of competition among municipalities in attracting investors.
He explained in detail the function of the one-stop shop system at the local level that would facilitate to investors the process of founding companies, obtaining necessary permits and implementing plans for investing in a certain location.
The organiser of the seminar, the second in a row as part of the project "With knowledge to investments" is the Fund for supporting investments in Vojvodina. The seminar was attended by representatives of 45 Vojvodina municipalities and the Executive Council of Vojvodina which took active part in the seminar.
