The Central Council of Serbs in Germany was founded in Hamburg on June 4, 2006 and gathers respectable and distinguished representatives of the Serbian Diaspora living in Germany, including many doctors, university professors, engineers, journalists and artists.
On behalf of the Ministry, Cotric supported the Council’s programme goals such as preservation of identity of the Serbian Diaspora in Germany, integration in German society, economic and cultural cooperation with the homeland, support to Serbia’s efforts to become an EU member and contribution to Kosovo-Metohija to remain within Serbia’s internationally recognised borders.
Aleksic stressed that the Central Council of Serbs will advocate uniting all our citizens in Germany and cooperation with other Serbian organisations in the Diaspora worldwide.
