Serbian Assistant Minister of Justice Petar Pavlovic stated today that over the past year and a half, 600 independent enterprises have been opened in Serbia, and that 1,800 requests for opening new ones have been submitted.
Pavlovic said in Kragujevac, where he is attending a meeting of representatives of the ministries of economy and labour with representatives of employers and the national employment service of Sumadija and Pomoravlje, that €9 million have been set aside from the state budget for that purpose.
He announced that the Serbian government will soon set up a special fund for entrepreneurs, which will have a starting capital of €11 million and whose purpose will be to enable entrepreneurs who are starting their own business to become independent in the first two years of their work.
