Karanovic said that the value of the microbiology office is 10 million dinars and that it was funded from the Serbian state budget. The Ministry of Health, together with the Serbian government, continually supports the Serbian people living in Kosovo-Metohija, she added.
The Serbian Health Insurance Office provides for between six and seven thousand workers employed in health institutions in the province and it will continue to do so in the future, Karanovic said.
Director of the Pristina clinical centre Stojan Sekulic said that the opening of the microbiology office in Gracanica will solve the problem of over 100,000 people who so far had to travel to Kosovska Mitrovica and to central Serbia to get their laboratory results. This office has rounded up the clinical centre in Pristina, he said.
