At the ceremonial assembly of Confindustria Serbia, an Italian business association, Đurić congratulated the participants on the results they achieved in economic cooperation between Serbia and Italy, recalling that last year was successful by many economic parameters, but that this year is expected to be extraordinary.
Global, and sometimes regional and local circumstances, are not always easy, however, Serbia is a country that is fighting to ensure that companies operating here have the best possible environment and the best possible incentives from the state system, the Minister said.
The head of Serbian diplomacy also cited the fact that Serbia is one of the countries with the largest network of free trade agreements as its comparative advantage.
Đurić emphasised that Serbia is firmly on its path to EU membership, and accordingly expressed gratitude to the Italian leadership for its consistent assistance to Serbia on various issues of vital national and state interest.
He recalled that, even at the moment when the Confindustria assembly is being held in Belgrade, Italian soldiers are guarding Serbian monasteries, such as Visoki Dečani in Kosovo and Metohija.
