Kostunica, Markovic continue talks on new constitution

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica and parliament Speaker Predrag Markovic continued talks on the new constitution today at the government premises.
Markovic emphasised that all representatives of state institutions and political parties he has consulted expressed strong and united political will to pass Serbia’s new constitution.
Kostunica said that the new constitution is framework for Serbia’s thorough reorganisation and stressed that for Serbia’s strong development it is necessary that all political factors unite to adopt the country’s fundamental law.
The parliament speaker informed the Prime Minister that he will call a session of the sub-committee for constitutional affairs by the end of the week and that he will define deadlines for finishing the draft of the new constitution.
