Following the session, Vučević told a news conference that significant investments are ongoing in all parts of Vojvodina, noting that road and railway infrastructure projects alone currently under way in the province are worth €4.6 billion.
We do not make any distinctions and we strive to encourage the balanced development of all parts of the country, he stated, adding that the investments planned for this part of Serbia are worth €1.55 billion.
Vučević recalled that the construction of the Vojvodina Clinical Centre is under way, noting that he is not satisfied with the pace of the work. However, he pointed out the positive aspect that equipment is now being procured and that the project, which has been anticipated for decades, is nearing completion.
According to him, investments worth €80 million are being implemented in the field of environmental protection in Vojvodina, while a project for the reconstruction of the Karađorđe Stadium, worth €11 million, is under way in the area of sports.
Participants in the joint session also discussed culture, he said, noting that the issue of financing for the National Theatre in Subotica needs to be resolved, whereas a special emphasis has been placed on the development of Sremski Karlovci as part of the Expo 2027 project.
The Prime Minister announced plans to build two bridges over the Danube: one near Bačka Palanka, to connect Bačka and Srem, and another in Banatska Palanka, to link southern Banat and Braničevo.
At the same time, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Vučević congratulated the people of Novi Sad on the 80th anniversary of the city’s liberation in World War II.
