We are proposing such solutions that will allow Serbian workers to negotiate their wages with employers, which was not the case in the past three years, he explained.
Also, the changes envisage the right to form trade unions, the right of workers to take part in management and the right on a share of profit, said Lalovic.
“Foreigners who bought firms here are not obliged by the law to share profits with workers. The changes to the Law on labour will create a legal framework for all employees to be included in the distribution of profits ” said Lalovic.
In the past three years, over 1,000 companies have been privatised, of which a majority has already posted profits, he added.
He added that the changes will also better tackle problems related to unregistered workers, injuries at work, and the rights of employees in case of receivership.
