Brnabic, during a tour of the works on the reconstruction of the Caricin Grad Hotel in Lebane, pointed out that this project and the construction of the Visitor Centre in the archaeological site of the same name show how much the state is investing in that part of the country.
The Prime Minister specified that RSD 194 million is invested in the Visitor Centre, that €2 million will be allocated for the square and centre in Lebane, and that an additional RSD 84 million will be allocated for a small hotel within the visitor centre.
According to her, this will change not only the face of Lebane, but also of the entire district, which will also be able to present itself to everyone during Expo 2027.
The Prime Minister said that the archaeological site of Justiniana Prima is also of inestimable importance, recalling that archaeological research at that site began in 1912.
Caricin Grad (Justiniana Prima) is one of the best-preserved early Byzantine towns, classified as an immovable cultural asset of exceptional importance for Serbia.
The Republic of Serbia started the process of registering Justiniana Prima on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2010, by putting it on the preliminary list.
