Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with American technological entrepreneur, electrical engineer, computer scientist, philanthropist, inventor and co-founder of Apple Steve Wozniak.
The Prime Minister presented to the co-founder of the world technology company, whose trademark is "iPhone", the development era of the technological and digital sector in Serbia in recent years, as well as the vision of investing in an economy based on knowledge and innovation.
Also, Brnabic pointed out that the evident result of those investments is that the ICT sector has become the fastest growing sector in Serbia and that this year the export of ICT services is expected to be approximately €3.8 billion.
Over the years, Wozniak has been involved in various business and philanthropic ventures, focusing primarily on teaching 11- to 13-year-olds in schools computer skills, arguing that hands-on learning inevitably fosters creativity and innovation in students.
In recent years, he has helped fund entrepreneurial ventures in areas as diverse as global navigation satellite system (GPS) and telecommunications developments, flash memory, technical education, environmental awareness and satellites.
Steve Wozniak also founded a post-secondary education and training platform focused on software engineering and technology development, and recently co-founded a blockchain-based trading and energy saving platform.
