Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, visited today in Vladičin Han the works on the improvement of the Vrla riverbed, which, as he pointed out, will permanently resolve the problem that the locals have been facing for decades.

Macut said that this project shows how much the Government cares about every part of Serbia and every citizen, regardless of where they live, adding that, upon completion of these works, the homes, infrastructure and agricultural land of the residents of Prekodolce will be protected.
The Prime Minister emphasised that the residents of this settlement in Vladičin Han, among whom are numerous members of the Roma community, will no longer have reason to fear the dangerous floods that have threatened their homes for years.
Today we have seen that the state is not only investing in roads and buildings, but above all in people’s safety, the Prime Minister said.
Macut announced that the state will continue to invest in water management infrastructure throughout Serbia, because prevention is always the best protection.
