Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic attended today the signing of the first contracts based on auctions between EPS and Vetrozelena, which will enable greater production of green energy for supply of the domestic market.
On that occasion, the Minister pointed out that Vetrozelena wind farm is the first of the nine RES power plants in the market premium system and the largest power plant for which incentives have been granted, because it will produce electricity for about 180,000 citizens, at the lowest price at the auction of about €64 per megawatt-hour.
According to her, the contracts signed today are an example for other projects as well, because all the energy produced will be used to supply our citizens, not for export.
According to current announcements, Vetrozelena should start operating in the last quarter of 2025.
