Prime Minister Ana Brnabic pointed out today, during a visit to the Jablanica District, that owing to investments from the state this part of our country is getting a new face and developing its great tourist potential.
The Prime Minister explained that she came to this region in order to see for herself how the works in the Jablanica District are progressing, which were promised when 100 days of work of the new Serbian government were marked in Lebane.
We have completed some things, such as putting a fence and video surveillance at Justiniana Prima, and the works on Visitor Centre have also begun. We are to finish all this in the course of 2024, the Prime Minister underlined and added that Justiniana Prima alone is an investment worth €3 million.
When it comes to Leskovac, Brnabic said that the first phase of making access to Hisar and accompanying facilities has been completed and that the second phase is now in progress.
She added that a start-up innovation centre in Leskovac should also be completed, which will become part of national innovation infrastructure in Serbia and the works will start in September.
The Prime Minister pointed out that only one road over the Radan Mountain, in which RSD 1.8 billion are invested, connects the Jablanica and Toplica Districts and opens up the possibility of their development.
She explained that these districts have a development potential that we have not used so far, and that is the potential of four spas – Kraljevska, Lukovska, Sijarinska and Prolom, and Djavolja Varos and Justiniana Prima are also there.
Brnabic underlined that this is not only significant for these districts, but for entire Serbia too, underlining that Justiniana Prima is the pearl of European archaeology.
We have completed that important part of work, and last week the works on the Visitor Centre have begun, which will be completed by the end of the year, the Prime Minister said.
Today the Prime Minister also visited the works on the construction of the Justiniana Prima Visitor Centre in Lebane, and pointed out on this occasion that for the population policy it is important to invest in smaller communities so that people would not leave them and to reduce internal migration and gravitation towards Belgrade.
Brnabic added that the state will provide all support possible and assistance to the domestic investor to revitalise the Hotel Justiniana Caricin Grad, and underlined that for the government it is extremely important that the potential of this hotel is used for the development of tourism in this area.
Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesic said that the project of construction of Justiniana Prima Visitor Centre in Lebane is a proof that one project can totally change the life of a community.
He pointed out that the project Justiniana Prima launches other projects simultaneously, such as the construction of roads and tourism.
