Rama margarine – another international brand in local production

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus and Minister of International Economic Relations Predrag Bubalo attended an agreement signing ceremony between Unilever and Delta M today. The agreement will allow Delta M, operating as part of Delta Holding, to launch domestic production and sales of Rama margarine.

The partnership will pave the way for domestic production and sales of Rama margarine, said Unilever President for South Eastern Europe Martina Kastler, adding that Unilever plans to introduce other brands in the Serbian market, such as Knorr.
Rama margarine will be produced at Sombor-based cooking oil plant Sunce and distributed through Delta M’s retail network, said Delta M Director Ivana Veselinovic, stressing that Sunce’s margarine output volume will be doubled in 2005.
The partnership will be highly beneficial to Serbia’s economy, said Labus, stressing that part of the local Rama production will be targeted for exports.
Unilever, one of the world's leading suppliers of consumer goods, reported a turnover of €43 billion in 2003. The company employs 247,000 workers and has operations in over 100 countries world-wide.
