Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic talked today with Ambassador of Great Britain to Serbia Sian Macleod about improving cooperation in the field of energy, energy security and diversification of the energy system.
Djedovic underlined that energy is the world's number one topic today, and that is why energy security is an absolute priority of the government of Serbia.
We are fully committed to ensuring good and continuous production of electricity and stable supply of other energy sources. At the same time, we are intensively working on all investments in the energy sector, in order to diversify sources of supply, among other things, said Djedovic.
She also pointed out that there are great opportunities for cooperation with Great Britain in all areas of energy transition and the Green Agenda, that is, the construction of new facilities that use renewable energy sources.
Ambassador Macleod congratulated Minister Djedovic on her appointment as Minister of Mining and Energy and highlighted the readiness of British energy companies to support Serbia on its way to diversification of energy supply.
The two officials also discussed the potential offered by the UK EF (UK Export Finance) credit mechanism, according to a statement from the Ministry of Mining and Energy.
