The two officials agreed that the cooperation over the past year and a half between the Serbian police and other European police units has been raised to a higher level.
Vulin underlined that organised crime knows no borders, that it is a global problem that should be solved together, with joined forces, in a series and responsible way.
During cooperation between the Ministry of the Interior and Eurojust, over the past year and a half, operational cooperation and work of members of the Criminal Police Directorate with colleagues from other countries have been significantly improved, especially in the field of exchange of information in the field of high-tech crime, money laundering and human trafficking, Vulin said.
The Eurojust President thanked the Interior Minister on exceptional cooperation and underlined that the Republic of Serbia is a reliable and secure partner in the fight against organised crime.
Hamran added that the Serbian police achieved significant results over the past year and a half and that it contributed significantly to joint international operations against all forms of crime.
The project “EU Support to Regional Security of the Western Balkans“ was presented at the meeting, whose goal is to boost the fight against organised crime, terrorism, as well as the security of borders.
Eurojust is one of the partners that implement this project in the field of judiciary cooperation, according to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior.
