Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali stated today in Budapest, after a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto, that an agreement has been reached that Serbia will store in Hungary 500 million cubic metres of gas for the coming winter.

The agreement was specified after President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban reached an agreement in Novi Sad at the opening of the International Fair of Agriculture that Serbia can store between 300 and 500 million cubic metres of gas in Hungary.
Mali told the press after the meeting with Szijjarto that under today’s agreement, which will ensure a secure supply of gas for Serbia, our country will be able to withdraw from Hungarian storage facilities three million cubic metres of gas per day in October, six million cubic metres of gas per day in November, December and January each and three million in March.
Szijjarto underlined that today’s agreements are a proof of strategic friendship between the two countries.
