Đurić emphasised that Romania is a sincere, reliable friend and neighbour with whom Serbia has comprehensive cooperation and joint strategic projects in the fields of energy, transport and infrastructure, inviting Țoiu to visit Belgrade in the coming period.
The head of Serbian diplomacy expressed gratitude to Romania for its firm and principled stance on the issue of preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia and the support it provides us on the international level.
It was noted that the Serbian and Romanian minorities are an important bridge of cooperation between our countries, and a commitment was expressed to resolve all issues in this area through bilateral mechanisms, primarily within the framework of the Intergovernmental Mixed Commission on Minorities.
Đurić emphasized that our country highly appreciates Romania’s support in the matter of European integration, adding that Serbia is fully committed to the European path and is working hard to be ready for membership in the European Union.
The Minister reiterated that regional cooperation is one of Serbia’s key foreign policy priorities, emphasizing that our imperative is to preserve peace and stability, strengthen relations with neighbours and continue the policy of reconciliation, as well as to orient the region towards more intensive cooperation.
