Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović met today with a delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Senate of the Kingdom of Spain, led by President of the Committee Pilar Rojo Noguera.
Starović highlighted Serbia’s clear commitment to accession to the European Union and full dedication to the implementation of reforms that lead to the harmonisation with the EU’s standards and policies.
He particularly pointed out the importance that the opening of Cluster 3 would have for Serbia’s negotiation process with the EU and added that the country, in order to accelerate reforms and the accession process itself, continues intensive alignment with the EU acquis, while implementing measures envisaged in the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans and the Reform Agenda.
The Minister expressed his gratitude to Spain for the support it has expressed so far for Serbia’s European path and for its principled stance on issues of respect for international law and the territorial integrity of our state.
