The opening of the bottling plant was also attended by Minister of Economy Andjelka Atanaskovic, Minister without portfolio in charge of improving the development of underdeveloped municipalities Novica Toncev, US Ambassador to Serbia Christopher Hill, Franchise Country General Manager of the Coca-Cola Company for Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia Luca Santandrea and General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Serbia and Montenegro Svetoslav Atanasov.
On that occasion, Vucic pointed out that wherever the Coca-Cola Company comes, it brings quality, new markets and export growth, and assessed that new investments are the best way for people from Serbia who have gone abroad to return to their homeland.
He announced the reconstruction of the hospital, roads in the vicinity of Kucevo and the creation of better conditions for the development of tourism in the area, the use of geothermal springs and the construction of tourism infrastructure, but also the construction of sewerage.
Atanasov pointed out that this is the fourth major acquisition of Coca-Cola in Serbia, stating that this company employs 1,700 people in our country, and that 14,000 workers are related to its business.
According to him, the investments of Coca-Cola in Serbia in 2021 amounted to €900,000, and with its business in Serbia, this company contributes to the growth of Serbia’s GDP by 0.6 percent.
