Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Darija Kisic and Azerbaijani Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev signed today the Agreement on Social Security between the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the government of the Republic of Serbia.

Kisic said that the signing of the Agreement is one more proof of exceptional cooperation and the improvement of the traditionally friendly relations between Serbia and Azerbaijan and explained that the citizens of the two countries will be equal in the exercise of social security rights, both in the country of work and the country of origin.
The Agreement introduces the principle of adding up the insured years of service in case the years of service obtained in one country are not enough to acquire the right to a pension, which is very important for citizens of both countries, the Minister underlined.
Kisic invited Minister Babayev to visit Serbia given that activities on concluding the accompanying Administrative Agreement are to be carried out in the coming period.
Babayev expressed his conviction that the friendly relations between Serbia and Azerbaijan will be improved through the exchange of experiences in this field.
