Serbia, Republika Srpska to build road infrastructure

Serbian Minister of Capital Investment Velimir Ilic said today in Banjaluka that he agreed with Minister of Transport and Telecommunications of Republika Srpska Dragan Solaja to start building a road infrastructure that will connect Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Minister Ilic, who is on an official visit to Republika Srpska, said that the preparation of necessary documentation for the investment that will solve the problem of the Raca border crossing and the bridge over the Sava river will begin as soon as tomorrow.
He said that the two ministries will work on the narrow-gauge track near Visegrad which will connect the town with Mokra Gora in Serbia, as well as to improve Sava river navigability.
Ilic said that these projects are supported by both governments, and voiced hope that their cooperation will further improve.
Minister of Transport and Telecommunications Dragan Solaja welcomed joint projects of the two governments on construction works at border areas between Serbia and Republika Srpska, which will connect the main roads.
Minister Ilic will also meet today in Banjaluka with President and Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Dragan Cavic and Dragan Mikerevic, the Tanjug news agency reported.
