President of the Republic Election Commission (RIK) Vladimir Dimitrijevic stated that all polling stations in Serbia opened this morning at 7 am, except for polling station 77 in Novi Pazar.
At the first RIK press conference, Dimitrijevic pointed out that it is almost unbelievable that out of 8,267 polling stations, only one had problems.
This is a holiday of democracy, because presidential, parliamentary and local elections in the cities of Belgrade and Bor and 12 other units of local self-government are being held today, Dimitrijevic said.
He reiterated that 6,502,307 citizens have the right to vote, and that Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija will vote at polling stations in the municipalities of Bujanovac, Kursumlija, Raska and Tutin.
Voters abroad can vote at 77 polling stations in 34 countries.
