Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matic spoke today with Bulgarian Minister of Tourism Hristo Prodanov, who is a guest of the Serbian Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications at the 43rd International Tourism Fair.
The topic of the meeting was identifying regions and areas in which it is possible to establish cooperation within the historical and cultural heritage on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding that was signed in 2019 and joint participation in cross-border programmes and projects.
The interlocutors agreed that creating a new joint tourist offer, based on cultural and historical heritage, would significantly improve the tourism sector of both countries.
There are currently two certified tourist routes that pass through both countries and these are the “Roman Emperors’ Route and the Danube Wine Route“ and the “European Industrial Heritage Route“, which contribute to the promotion of cultural and industrial tourism.
