Minister of the Interior Aleksandar Vulin and Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Sandor Pinter signed today, at the Horgos border crossing, the Memorandum of Understanding on strengthening cooperation in the field of law enforcement related to the fight against drug trafficking.

According to the Memorandum, in the next three years the Serbian police shall organise training for their Hungarian colleagues to detect and deactivate illegal laboratories for the production of narcotics.
The Hungarian police will provide the Serbian Ministry of the Interior with five trained dogs and organise training for Serbian police officers – guides of police dogs.
During the meeting, the two ministers also spoke about the continuation of cooperation between the two ministries of the interior and the suppression of illegal migration.
Vulin and Pinter said that the mixed border police patrols which were reactivated in October 2021 have given very good results in fighting illegal border crossings and migrant smuggling.
