Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selakovic, said today, in a conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Annalena Baerbock, that our country stands clearly and firmly on the European path.
Selakovic said that our country is committed to continuing the high level of political dialogue and strengthening overall cooperation during the tenure of Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Minister Baerbock, adding that Serbia, for its part, wants to be recognised as a reliable, responsible and predictable partner in the Western Balkans.
The Minister pointed out that Germany is one of the most important economic partners and the largest investors in the Serbian economy, emphasising that we are interested in further improving economic cooperation through continuous growth of foreign trade and use of investment potentials.
The officials referred to the situation in the region, and Selakovic emphasized that preserving peace and stability in the Western Balkans is of key importance for Serbia.
When it comes to the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Selakovic reiterated that we are committed to dialogue and reaching a compromise solution.
The situation in Eastern Europe was also discussed, with the head of Serbian diplomacy reiterating that Serbia consistently insists on respecting international law and the territorial integrity and sovereignty of states.
