Dublin, May 1, 2004 – Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica came to Dublin today to attend a summit of European centre-right prime ministers and leaders of the European People’s Party (EPP).
The EPP includes centre and centre-right political parties. According to organisers, the gathering will be attended by the prime ministers of the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Slovakia, Malta, Luxembourg, Greece, Estonia, France, Austria, Croatia, and Norway as well as Vice-President of the European Commission Loyola de Palacio and President of the EPP Wilfred Martens, the Beta news agency reported.
According to Beta, Kostunica told Belgrade reporters who followed him to Dublin that he will discuss the Plan for Kosovo and Serbia’s firm attitude to stay on the “We will discuss the most important issues, given that the Plan for Kosovo was very well received a couple of days ago,” Kostunica said.
The EPP gathering is being held in Dublin at the same time as the welcoming celebration for the ten new EU member states – the Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Cyprus, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
