President Aleksandar Vucic and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto attended today the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the UBM Group's animal feed factory in Adasevci.

President Aleksandar Vucic and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto attended today the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the UBM Group's animal feed factory in Adasevci.
The total budget of this investment is €24,424,000, of which €13,740,000 is for the plant for mixing fodder, and €10,684,000 for landscaping, additional facilities, infrastructure development and design.
The investment programme is supported by the government of Hungary in the amount of €6.3 million, while the government of Serbia provides €2.5 million.
UBM Group is a leading company in the Hungarian market for the production of animal feed, which is fully Hungarian-owned, and is engaged in the production and distribution of animal feed, as well as trade in raw materials for its production.
At the ceremony on the occasion of laying the foundation stone for the construction of the production plant of the UBM factory, Vucic pointed out that in the last ten years, Serbia and Hungary have had very friendly relations, which are reflected in economic indicators.
He stated that Serbia has increased trade with Hungary by 2.5 times in the last ten years.
Today, Hungary is becoming the fifth foreign trade partner with €2.4 billion in trade, he said, and assessed that one of the most deserving for that is the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban.
The President of Serbia pointed out that he is proud of the partnership with Hungary, which is almost always on Serbia's side and helps it with every issue in Brussels when it comes to Serbia's vital interests.
Szijjarto assessed that Serbs and Hungarians are peoples who know the importance of peace and have shown that it is possible to move from relations burdened by historical events to relations of partnership, friendship and good economic cooperation.
He said that Hungary and Serbia can be proud of the exemplary friendly relationship, and pointed out that the economies of the two countries benefited from the friendly relations, because they stimulate each other, help each other and contribute to energy security.
We are proud that with the investments of Hungarian companies we can contribute to the economic prosperity and development of Serbia. We are proud that we helped 14,000 companies within the economic support of the economy in Vojvodina, he emphasised and added that the relationship between the two countries is an example of successful cooperation, to which another point is added by this investment in Adasevci.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary announced that the factory in Adasevci will produce over one million tons of animal feed annually, which will enable exports and thus be a profitable business for both economies.
