"Even after last year's significant progress in the negotiation process, we continue to actively harmonise with the planned regulations and EU standards, especially when it comes to improving the judiciary, electoral conditions and those related to media freedoms," said Joksimovic.
As she emphasised, Serbia will prepare and adopt all laws and bylaws which will operationalise the amendments to the Constitution, in the same way as it was done with the text of our highest legal act.
Also, Joksimovic expressed the expectation that in the coming weeks, the GRECO Report on Recommendations will state that all recommendations concerning measures in the field of corruption prevention have been fulfilled, which is very important in the context of progress within Cluster 1 – Rule of Law.
Pejcinovic Buric expressed the support of the Council of Europe for all key reform activities in our country, especially those in the field of human and minority rights, strengthening human capacities in local self-governments, fight against money laundering and terrorism, as well as strengthening regional cooperation.
