Compared with December 2003, retail prices in April were up 2.6 percent, the Statistics Office said in a statement today.
The cost of living grew by 1.4 percent from a month earlier and were 3.2 percent higher compared with December 2003, the statement added.
Prices of agricultural produce rose 1.6 percent, food products 1.0 percent, and non-food products 0.5 percent, reads the statement.
Tobacco prices rose 0.8 percent, while drinks edged up 0.1 percent.
The prices of services in April were higher by 0.4 percent on average, compared with the previous month.
