Prime Minister Ana Brnabic attended today, in the Assembly of the City of Belgrade, the promotion of the eParking sticker, the first eGovernment service intended for people with disabilities, which will make life much easier in urban areas.
Brnabic emphasised that today is a big and important day and that everyone who thinks that this is a "small" thing, does not know how difficult it has been so far to provide a parking sticker for a person with disabilities.
This possibility will serve people who cannot get to the counter in most cases, and who should visit several counters and collect a bunch of documents in order to renew their parking sticker every year, the Prime Minister explained.
According to her, this service was different for every local self-government in Serbia.
That is why we responded to the call to help local governments and to create, thanks to the Office for Information Technology and e-Government, through the eGovernment portal, a service that will unite all local governments, said the Prime Minister, pointing out that a year, because the job was extremely complex.
President of the Association for Cerebral Palsy and Childhood Paralysis of Belgrade Dilbera Sarajlic expressed her gratitude to the government of the Republic of Serbia, the City of Belgrade and the Secretariat for Social Protection for the introduction of this service.
Mobility of persons with disabilities is one of the basic human rights, she said, and pointed out that with the new service of persons with disabilities, three or four "clicks" will come to the parking sticker, and that so far it took one to three months to it was done, and it was quite strenuous.
Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic pointed out that 2,803 requests were submitted last year, of which about 2,500 were approved, and that there will be more in the future because now the entire procedure can be completed from home.
